The Enders Game- How do the needs of the many outweigh the needs of Ender

Ender and the other boys in the fighting squadron give up their innocence and boyhoods for the greater good of the population. Ender in particular is forced to grow up very quickly and bare the emotional scars of his transition to commander.These boys give up their childhoods,and perhaps their lives, to protect the world from the Bugger invasion.
