Did Mr. Keating care about his students? Did he take actions that were in the best interests of students? Explain

I think that Mr. Keating was one of the few teachers that did care about his students. His interest in his students transcended the academic. He wanted them to become unique individuals of the human race. He cared what they felt and he understood their adolescent angst. Mr. Keating, for example, tried to help Neal with the trouble he had with his father. Unfortunately Neal did not really take Mr. Keating’s advice.
