If you agreed with thorueas assertion, to what extent would you modify your behavior to follow the concept?

This is very much a personal question. I would love to live off the grid in a cabin in the woods. Unfortunately I lack many of the personality and skill traits to do this. Many critics claim Thoreau lacked many traits that he espoused as well.
