How is the cultural value of "machisimo" presented through Santiago Nasar and Bayardo San Ramon?

Im not sure what Machisimo is or how is connects to the book

A strong, viril man would be considered to have machisimo. Bayardo is the definition of machisimo. He is wealthy, arrogant and good looking. His father was a war hero, his family name is respected, and his powerful presence garners attention.

Santiago would also be considered a man's man. He is a business man, courageous, a lady's man, a sportsman, and is greatly respected and admired in the community.
