Call of the Wild

@14) Did you enjoy the book? Are there any places left to go in the modern world that would answer "the call of the wild " Would you go there?

I loved this book. I read it as a child and I still think about it. London's "naturalism" style of writing puts the reader in touch with the natural world without  anthropomorphising (making them too much like people) the animals he writes about. The unforgiving majesty of the natural world comes through. There are certainly places like this around the world. There are relatively untouched spaces in Northern Canada, Russia and even the United States. I would like to visit these spots but unfortunately I'm a bit of a whiner when it comes to roughing it in nature.
