Brave New World

A few of the main characters are dissatisfied to some extent. Does this suggest the society is not as stable as it seems?

I think that most characters are dissatisfied, many not even knowing it. Certainly, Bernard Marx enjoys the status of Alpha-Plus but finds his life meaningless. He is dissatisfied by the overconsumption and disposable mentality of society. Bernard Savage is also a character that rebukes society, instead clinging to meaning found in ancient literature and poetry. Lenina Crowne thinks she is content but is fraught with discontent over her continual pursuit of pleasure.
