Grendel’s mother is a major figure, but nothing is known about Grendel’s father. In a poem in which ancestry is important, what does Grendel’s ancestry suggest about his character?

“The Monster’s Lair,” “The Battle with Grendel’s Mother,” and “The Last Battle”

Grendel is said to be the ancestor of Cain....... the Bible's first murderer, the first to be banished from the world of sin (his parents had been banished from Eden, therefore he was banished from the world of sin. To be blunt..... he never had a chance!
