What is the significance of how Morrison forms her words?

I noticed that on Chapter 19, page 234 Morrison writes the words 'Whitepeople", "colouredpeople", "whitefolks" all as one word. I am using this observation in my essay, however, I need help figuring out WHY she does this, since it is not written like this prior to this chapter.

ALSO, this is the first time she writes "Negroes" but with a captial N.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, can someone help me out with this!!!!! My teacher thinks that this is a brilliant observation, but I just cannot figure out its significance !!

is it because Stamp Paid is realizing the savageness that whites hold within themselves, yet they place that label on slaves??? I have no clue !

Your help is MUCH appreciated! :)
