Beloved

Could you show me where in the novel Morrison describes the Bodwins' feelings towards slaves?

The Bodwins rented the house of 124 to Baby Suggs and later to Sethe. They supply clothes and goods to Stamp Paid, Ella and John because “they hated slavery worse than they hated slaves.” This statement shows that they hate the idea of slavery and the treatments that come with it, but not fully hate the idea of slaves. This is on pg 62 although I'm not sure what page it might be in your copy.
