Was any part of the novel written about when Robbie was currently in jail?
Is there any conversation whilst Robbie is in Jail or descriptions of his emotion at the time?

No, we hear he spent three and a half years in jail in part two, and we also learn that he is recruited into the army only six days after being released from prison. I don't believe there are any conversations or parts in the novel where the prison is a part of the setting.
