Anthem

When in the story does Equality come to the realization that the transgressions which he made against the council are irrevelent?

I am writing my response for the Ayn Rand essay contest and need this information quickly.

I think Anthem realizes that his old society was irrevelent when he escapes into nature and discovers his own identity.
