What is the significance of the title of the movie

The title of both movies, I thinkthere were two, is the same as the book. The title is based on irony, and it is the last line of the novel....... "all quiet on the western front," is the announcement that the war has come to an end...... the announcement is ironically made at the exact moment of Paul Baumer's (our main character) death.
