I think any humor is dark. The man is an angel but his wings are not described as angelic. Elisenda began to get tired of this saviour. She begins to hope that he can disappeared by himself. At last, the angel was flying away. Elisenda once saw the old man as an angel yet now, when her needs are served, she tires of it. She represents human nature in all its self-serving ignorance.
