A Streetcar Named Desire

Given that it is now mid-September, what season is it? Based on the ideas of Pathetic Fallacy, what is the symbolic significance of this season?

I think mid-September means it is into fall: it is getting darker and colder. The use of pathetic fallacy is to create a sense of forbiddance which the season does. Soon their will be darkness in both the weather and the lives of our main characters.
