A Modest Proposal and Other Satires

Look at the tone Swift uses. Does it stay the same or change over the course of his discussion? Why does he use the first person? What is the persona he adopts as the speaker in this proposal? How does his tone contribute to the persona he uses?

Help ASAP, thanks!

I'm sorry, which section of the text are you referring to? Swift's tone is unchanging, it is satirical and mocking. He uses the first-person because this is HIS commentary. His address is political in nature, he is personally targeting the bias against the Irish in England.
