15. how do you think readers are intended to respond to scrooge's little speech about fezziwig's 'power to render us happy or unhappy' on page 34?

There is of course irony in Scrooge's speech. Scrooge has been the opposite of Fezziwig's character. Where Fezziwig has been jovial, sharing, and empathetic with his employees; Scrooge has been miserly, miserable, and callous with his employees. Scrooge is reaching back to a place in his mind when he once appreciated people like Fezziwig.
