Is a jury made up of ordinary people the best way to reach a verdict?

The fact that ordinary people make up our jury system is one of the most democratic processes in our country. Jurors come from all walks of life and are well screened before selection; they are representative of the American people as a whole; and in general, they see this duty for the honor it is. So yes, I think a jury made up of regular people is the best way to reach a verdict.
