Would you have stayed in New Orleans as Zeitoun did? Why or why not?

I like to believe that I would have had the common sense to listen to the authorities, and those educated enough to be advising the residents that evacuation was necessary, but you never know....... I'm fairly certain I would have left rather than stayed.
