why is Isabella attracted to Heathcliff
Isabella actually confesses to Chatherine that she is in love with Heathcliff's "physical and moral beauty." Heathcliff, in turn, expressed interest in marrying Isabella for her money and to enrage Edgar. He said he would beat Isabella if they were married because of her "mawkish, waxen face."
