Augie wants to be ordinary, he feels he should be ordinary. . His face prevents others from seeing him that way. Really Augie feels that if people can look past his looks, they would find out he is just like them.

Augie wants to be a normal kid but everyone treats in like he is defferent. He was in a costom for Holloween and he did not sit where he is sopposed to sit and he over heard his friend talk about him. Then he did not want to go to school the next day, or go out but then his sister talked him into going to the holloween peraid ,she had ''said i will let you have all my holloween candy''.
