Why do you think Jack changes his mind about showing Auggie around Beecher Prep before the school-year begins?
As a reminder of the context: Jack's mom receives a call from Mr. Tushman over the summer, asking him to help welcome a new kid (August) to Beecher Prep. Jack initially doesn't want to do it. He remembers seeing August several years before outside an ice cream shop, and being afraid of how he looked.
