The theme of this poem is death and remembrance. "Let us sleep now," specifcally speaks to the fact that enemies and friends slain in the name of war have ultimately met the same end and lie together in their deaths. In this line, the speaker is talking to the enemy he'd just killed the prior day..... welcoming him into the embrace of death and acknowledging the bond forged by their expereinces.
