In Chapter XIII, Billy inspects the tree where the ghost coon is treed. Unfortunately, he cannot find it, even after climbing the tree to find it above ground. Billy pays his debt because he made a bet and he honors his debts.... he didn't realize that Little Ann would catch the ghost coon's scent moments later and begin to howl.
