Line 2 Whitman is sharing universal truths. Truths that wills peak to people at a fundamental level, that everyone will see as true.

Line 10 put aside what you have been taught or believed before. St, listen and take in these new ideas.

Line 16 it could be easy to become distracted by the world, but I will not let these things keep me from establishing my own thoughts and ideas.

Line 42 now us the time to do these thing.

Thisoem is about empowering the individual, physically and spiritually.
