“Work fascinates me. I can sit and watch it for hours.”

This quote isn't Thoreau’s. Knowing his ideas, explain why Thoreau would or would not agree. Be sure to make it clear what you think Thoreau’s stance would be by writing “Agree” or “Disagree” at the beginning of each response.

No Thoreau would have not liked this. He would have kicked you out of his little cabin for that statement. The pleasure of work was in the doing. No "lazy pants" for Henry! He derived identity and freedom through manual labour that was deliberate and "real".
