the symbols that has been showed through the actions of the characters in WAITING FOR GODOT by BECKETT-Discuss

Your question goes way beyond mere symbolism - it goes to the heart of existentialism itself. I would suggest reading through the analysis of the study guide posted here for a few explanations of the play.

Much of the meaninglessness is tied to the fact that the characters are in a hopeless state, and therefore are just trying to pass the time. Attempting to find any meaning the in the actions, other than as a time-waster, is precisely Beckett's point.

i'd say more, absurdism
although existentialism and absurdism parallel each other in many ways.
