Prospero to Ariel

I am trying to translate Prospero to Ariel into Russian.
But I don't think I quite understand 2 lines:

And even the uncontrollable vertigo,
Because it can scent no shame, is unobliged to strike.
(The last lines before the italicized text)

Can anyone explain them to me please?

"Sonnets from China"/"In Time of War"

Hi there,

I absolutely adore Auden's "In Time of War" sonnets, which I've recently learned were published a couple of times under different names and edited, and some sonnets removed.

The version I have appears to be a later version - with 20 sonnets.

Does anyone know the details of what was changed, or where I can find copies of the different versions?

Thanks
