Act 2, Scene 2, Volpone indulges in his love for disguise. Disguise is a way of hiding one's true self, and it allows him to combine immagination and his inherent immorality. In Scene 2, he introduces himself to Celia as a mountebank, or a faker. This disguise enables him to not only make money, but to bilk her out of her hanky as well.
