Chapter 1: The Vanishing 2. Who “vanishes” in this chapter?

There is the bunny in the magic trick and then V himself. V asks her to follow him outside. Before he does so, he blindfolds her. She realizes that he has taken her outside, but she does not understand what he is up to. As she grows impatient with his puzzling answers, or his lack of answers, V has lead her far from the Shadow Gallery. The only thing he says to her is that he is not her father. By the time she takes her blindfold off, she realizes that he has left her all alone in the street.
