archetypes

Stowe uses several archetypes in this book. Eva as an archetype of Christ. Tom as good verses Legree as bad.

Could you explain any of these or do you know of any more archetypes?

Simon Legree- Pontius Pilate

Uncle Tom- the Christ figure (I disagree with you about Eva)

Eva (Evangeline)- bearer of good news, saintly, an evangelist
