How does Maria describe Malvolio (2.3.129-136)?

What is Maria'so plan (2.3.154-160)? does Malvolio deserve to have a trick like this played on him? Why?

Once Malvolio leaves, Maria dscribes Malvolio as a fool,

For Monsieur Malvolio, let me alone with him. If I do not gull him into a nayword and make him a common recreation, do not think I have wit enough to lie straight in my bed.

Maria concocts a plan to make Malvolio look like a complete fool: since Maria's handwriting is similar to Olivia's, she will write love letters to Malvolio and make it look like the letters have come from Olivia. The party decides to try this out and see if it will work; Maria leaves to go to bed, and Sir Toby and Sir Andrew decide to drink the rest of the night away.
