Carpe Diem??

Why is this idea present in this play??? And what's a language feature that expresses that idea clearly??

The Jester sings a carpe diem song about welcoming love when it comes your way as well as the briefness of youth and the uncertainty of the future. This is seen on the stage in the contrast between the drunken stupidity and the touching love song. This deals with one of the main themes in the play.
