what are morries religious/spiritual values?

Morrie takes different values from different belief systems to create a belief system that represents his values. This is why Mitch describes him as a "religious mutt." Morrie was born a Jew but later became an agnostic. To Morrie living and dying are merely two sides of the same coin. Death wasn't something Morrie really considered until he had ALS. Now Morrie reflects on it as part of the inevitable deal we make when we are born.
