Morrie is an old man who is suffering from ALS. He is at the end of his life, and one of his students visits him each Tuesday in order to put together the book "Tuesdays with Morrie". The student asks many questions, and is given life advice by Morrie. Morrie does not act as though he fears death, his ALS, or lack of physical abilities. He reflects on life, saying how people should live their lives to the fullest, to be kind to one another, and to rise above all emotional or psychological inhibitions in order to find the true meaning to their life.
