I actually think he was framed. The investigation of financial fraud came out of nowhere. The trial dragged on until January 1950 until Tucker and his partners were acquitted. By then it was too late for the company to be viable. They had lost their loans and were bankrupt. It is likely interests from bigger car companies were involved with the trumped up charges.
