Minnie is suspect in her husband's murder, and the story revolves around her home and marriage. Her presence, however, is neither required or intergral to the author's story. This is a story about identity, a story about women..... and it is told by women. Mrs. Peters and Mrs. Hale introduce us to Minnie Wright, and through the trifles these women observe, we learn Minnie's story without her ever having to step foot on the stage.
