He just keeps the adventures rolling, one after the other;

the murder at the inn, the treasure map, the conflict between major characters, the hiring of the crew, the voyage, the mutiny, the hostages, the loss of the treasure, the return, and Silver's escape........ it's a great read, and I hope you read it!
