Where did Jim and his mother first go for help?

In Chapter 4 Jim tells his mother what the captain has told him. They both know this is dangerous knowledge to have. They both walk to the nearby village for help. They arrive at dusk and can find no one brave enough to go back with them. One boy says he will tell Livesey.
