Treasure Island

What indiscreet thing had the Squire done at the outset?

I need help! My summer homework is over the book Treasure Island and some questions I just can't get an answer for. This question is in Part 2 of the book. Please anyone.!!

The outset of part 2? If so, the squire has told people they are in search of treasure.

"The admirable fellow literally slaved in

my interest, and so, I may say, did everyone in

Bristol, as soon as they got wind of the port we

sailed for - treasure, I mean."
