• Smollett says that he should have been able to choose his own crew.

• Smollett says that Mr. Arrow is too familiar with the crew.

• Smollett wants the guns and amunition moved under Trelawney's cabin and his crew moved nearer to his (Trelawney's) quarters.

• Smollett wants no knowledge of what is written on the map.
