How did Jim Hawkins look like?

There is very little physical description of Jim. I think Stevenson wanted Jim to fit most any boy so readers could relate to the intrepid protagonist. We know he is a young boy. He is the smallest person on the ship yet agile enough to defend himself from nasty swashbuckling pirates.
