When was there a time Peter and cole forgive and forgot?

The boys both end up carving logs after Peter destroys Cole's bear. They finally experience a sense of closure and each forgive the other. Later, they both go to the water to soak together. It may not be friendship, but it is the beginning of forgiveness. (Pages 231-234/ Chapters 28 and 29)
