Well, he learns that he doesn't have to prove he's right. When the albino spirit bear attached him, he got a clump of it's hair, and when Garvey rescued him no one believed that a spirit bear attached him. But he had proof and instead of proving that he wasn't lying he just decides that as long as he knows he isnt lying than it doesn't matter
