I can't quite remember the fish in Touching Spirit Bear in tems of symbol. Can you give me a specific chapter for this? I know they symbolize life because at one point that is all he had to eat. Let me know on this thread and I'll get back to you.

The fish symbolizes one of the realizations of being invisible. When he learned how to be invisible, he realized that when he was in the pond, the fish came near him because he had cleared his mind. The fish in Touching Spirit Bear was a key part of the overall theme of the book.

The fish is food , the food is energy ,and the energy is life
