URGENT: Why does Edwin believe in Cole?

I'm not sure, Edwin never explains this. I imagine that you are trying to form a response to the question I gave you. You could say something like,

"I thought Cole showed signs of a kind spirit married beneath all his anger and hate. Cole certainly had strength of character, he just needed to find it."
