how do other characters feel about cole?

Cole's parents are apathetic..... for most of the story they're too caught up in their own problems to assist him with his own. Peter and his family are afraid of Cole. Edwin and Garvey see the Cole that could be.... thus they're hopeful.... optimisitc. The other members of the circle are cautious. I believe they are hopeful, otherwise, Cole wouldn't have had the opportunity to go to the island. I also see them as pessimstic as to the final outcome.
