Cole has been angry forever. The fact that he acknowledges his need to clear the anger and pressure from his mind so that he'd have the ability to think straight is extremely important in the healing process. That he admits both wanting and needing to think straight is a positive............. it's the first time we see him processing that it is possible to control anger, and that decisions are more properly reached with a clear mind.
