Hey, I can't write this for you but consider how shocked and sad Jem is. He begins to cry and ask how this Jury could deliver such a verdict. Jem clearly sees this case was open and shut, Tom was innocent. Still the Jury relied on their old racial prejudice to decide that Tom was guilty. Jem wept that his friends and neighbours could participate in such a travesty of justice.
