Mr. Gilmer treats Tom Robinson with complete disrespect and contempt. As the prosecuting attorney, he should treat all witnesses with the same level of attention, but the white witnesses receive calm and respectable treatment from Gilmer while the black Tom Robinson is treated in a hateful, disdainful manner.
