Aunt Alexandria calls Scout "dull" because Scout says that she didn't do anything during the summer. Really, Aunt Alexandria doesn't like the way Atticus has brought Scout up. Aunt A. doesn't feel that Scout acts like a lady or proper little girl. Scout is a tomboy who, like her father, stands up for injustice (the way she interprets it). She wears overalls and enjoys the company of boys. Scout is infact the opposite of dull and I think Aunt.A slowly begins, by the end of the novel, to understand this.
